HORRIBLE CHEMISTRY

I'm pretty pissed off watching this movie. Clary and Jace have HORRIBLE chemistry. I don't even care about Jace, he's a badly written character. Out of nowhere, without any development, she's all over him? Simon is a better character but I have a feeling she's going to end up with Jace anyway throughout the series. That was one thing that was bothering me about the whole movie, aside from other cheesy scenes. In fact, the character development for all the characters sucked. This movie has so many things wrong with it, and with all the potential behind its idea, I was really disappointed. I wanted to like it a lot, but it was just plain bad. And then when they were told they were siblings. That was hilarious. But then in the books, they find out they're not really siblings (oh bummer!) In the movie, even after that, they're still flirting away and ride into the sunset on motorcycle. Wat She's pretty much (I know people don't want to hear this) the Bella of this movie. And it's true. This is what happens in a lot of YA's these days anyway. Not a good day to be that best friend in a YA book; you'll just get your heart broken caused by a "bad" boy with just looks to lure the screaming fans. WELL, this is my opinion of this movie and why I didn't really like it. It was a 4-5/10 at least. The fight scenes somewhat (??) redeemed it. As I said, the whole idea is cool, just poorly executed. I understand others loved it, as others hated it as well. Well okay, no problem. Everyone's entitled to like their own type of entertainment (ish- I'm calm now).

Seriously I can't handle the same rehashed, big budget garbage anymore. IDK what was worse, the acting or the action. They were both about as laughable as the writing. I can't believe people actually got paid to make this pos.

Overall the movie just wasn't good. Some of the fight scenes where good, but the other stuff was just plain stupid.

Their chemistry was strong and passionate, but their character's relatability and overall realistic-ness, yeah, those were weak and so unreal. But that was the director's take on the whole movie, not a reflection of the chemistry (the heated feelings, the reationship) between Jace and Clary.

The chemistry between leads I felt it was one of few saving graces of this flop.

If Lily and Jamie would have been in another romantic flick instead of these they could have competed with two of the most successful YA couples of the 2000s which are Allie and Noah- The Notebook and Edward and Bella-The twilight saga( I don't like twilight at all but won't deny the chemistry between the leads nor the popularity of them )

Interesting points.

Yes I think everyone says they had terrible chemistry but I think it's because the film was horrible.
Put them together in a good film and everyone would have loved them
