Is anyone still hopeing the city of ashes gets made? hope

I am hearing crickets for this sequel. I hope they continue Mortal Instruments because it was kinda a promising storyline such as other popular franchises. The only one I liked lately. Even though a lot of people did not like this movie. I feel silly for wanting it to do better. Normally I don't care about movies, but they left City of Bones with a big cliff hanger and did not explain to the audience very well to people that did not read the books. It is still tangible franchise. Thanks for reading my opinion.

I super really extra want a sequel! I thought the previews looked blah, but on a boring night I finally watched the movie, and I really liked it. I blame the lack of interest on the trailer editors.

Also, this is the first time I've ever commented on anything on IMDB, I'm usually just looking for info, and might I say the "account verification" process is a joke. It said I had to verify my acct before I could comment, then it just asked me for my cell number to get a pin. I could have listed any cell number in the world......AND... what could possibly happen if someone hacked my IMDB acct?

Me too.

I had seen the ads, and not been interested.

Then I sat down to watch a movie with my husband on TV the other night. TMI is the only one we could agree on...and we both enjoyed it a lot more than we thought we would. I wonder how many other people outside the teenage demographic they're aiming at have discovered the series since. I always thought movies - and series of movies - like this tend to make their money back over time and develop a cult following rather than make it back at the box office. Like comic book adaptations did before the last couple of years.

Worst. Rescue. EVER!

Well guys, seriously. :P I MUST see that Malec kiss on screen, ok? I need City of Ashes and City of Glass. I mean, I need each one of the six books to be a movie, but well... I need City of Ashed as a start. Please? :3

Now that I've read Bones and Ashes, I'm not sure. Both were pretty much perfect for the big screen but since they changed way too much, I'm not sure how City of Ashes will work anymore. I imagine they will have to make changes just like City of Bones for A) Budget Issues and B) To accommodate with the changes already may in Bones.

I think it would hurt Ashes considering it's a VAST improvement from Bones.

I would always rather be happy than dignified.

I'm developing a dangerous and unhealthy nail biting problem waiting for them to actually start production on their (re-announced) sequel, City of Ashes. I'm just really hoping that the delay was for the sake of making sure they did it right the second time around. I didn't hate COB- I own it and have watched it at least a half dozen times since I bought it this year, and BECAUSE of that, got into the book series (which I am obsessed with). I need move movies. Give me more movies or I will use all future lottery winnings to hire Uwe Boll and threaten to use him on all future beloved film franchises until someone makes these movies (and makes them gooood).

You're not alone in a desire for the sequel. Sucks that something like Divergent is getting one but not this movie (which was way better IMO).

Yes. I am still hoping they made the sequel. I really enjoy this movie. This movie Way better from twilight. IMHO

If it's done by the same directio. NO WAY! Watch it again and see what you think. My wife was watching it on her iPhone while waiting to watch something we hadn't seen. It was her second time. I have it on my computer, so we decided to watch it together, starting from the beginning. We spotted soooo many things that were never explained, and some pretty stupid things. In fact, as I woke during the night, I thought of other stupid parts. Isabel told Cary she had to dress sexy (like a hooker) to even get the attemtion of the Asian dude, but as soon as she walks in, while the vampires are attacking Simon, this dude comes strutting in and finds her, and knows exactly who she is. Like I said, watch it again, and see if you still want a sequel. The only reason to watch this was Lily Collins, but I'd rather watch her as Snow White. By the way, I did like the Twilight franchise. It was Vampire Diaries that was done as disjointed as The Mortal Instrument.

Well, have you heard of the maze runner series? Even though there are some changes in the second and the third movie it's kind of following the story... And it has got some great cast.
