Anyone else get a bit of a pulpy Tarrantino vibe from this? Most obviously when the guy stops shooting people to listen to the jukebox?

Nope, watch some spaghetti westerns or some 70s action flicks from Walter Hill. Tarantino has done nothing but imitate the style of those films.

More like there is another Cohen brother we haven't been privy to on the loose down under. With a dash of Sergio Leon thrown in. The sheriff looks disconcertingly like the director Robert Altman.
