Okay story, but overall the movie was a disapointment. It was marked up as a tough-guy movie, but turns out to focus on a gay teen.

shareAnd didn't even bother to read the plot. And this movie is not a drag, neither it's about a gay teen. It's about a transgender teen fighting for being herself and suffering her stranger father's incomprenhesion. And yes, there is a thought person in this movie, and not is one of the machos that show off the bad they are, is a young girl, strong and brave enogh to be herself and expressing herself freely no matter what the rest of the people think. You have to be very thought to do that.

Exactly, its about a hispanic family living in the Bronx. The main plot centers on a teenage boy who wants to make the transition to a girl, and dealing with the emotional abuse of a estrange father recently released from prison after 3 years who finds out life isnt the same as it once was, who is more set on trying to make his son out to be a "man" and not giving up his old habits to stay out of prison, but ends up right back in the pen.
