We have Negan, in the middle of a hoard, talking, and walking around with no disguise or zombie guts on him. No problem. Doesn't get eaten. Then he is surrounded by walkers, no weapon. Comes out no problem with a big tree branch.

They could have at least made a decent action scene out of it....but nope cuts away. Did they seriously think the audience would be wondering if Negan was dead or not?
