Badass Judith

Seems like she is proficient in the use of guns and maybe the sword at the tender age of 8?

reply

Yeah that was so cringeworthy. She’s picking off walkers pinpoint in the head from a good distance with a gun that would put her on here butt with the recoil. Oh well, I figured out to turn my brain off when watching this show a long time ago.

reply

lol

reply

I laughed out loud when I saw that. When I was around that age my father let me shoot one of his guns (some kind of high powered shotgun) and the recoil was so intense I never wanted to shoot a gun again. Take into account that I had been shooting a 22 for years before that. The recoil from a 22 isn't much. Had she been shooting something like that I would have still rolled my eyes, but I would have been okay with it.

reply

Ya but zombies arent real either.

reply

I think she's suppose to be about 10...the same age as Carl when the series began.
The main difference might be that she grew up in the apocalypse and I don't think it unlikely that she would be trained to take care of herself at a young age.
It would be the smart way to rear little ass kicker.

So this...out of everything...doesn't bother me.

reply

Me either...there is obviously a time jump going on and I figured a baby growing up in that world (Rick's kid no less) would definitely be super trained in using a gun.

reply

Bad a** Michonne is her step-mom. And let's not forget Aunt "Ninja" Carol. She also is Shane/ Rick's kid. I wonder if she is going to fulfill Carl's role since he's still alive in the comics.

reply

I hope not. Carl has sex in the Whisperers storyline.

reply

Not very subtle. Just watched the last episode. Henry is taking Carl's place in the Whisperer storyline.

reply

OK, but why is she out there alone?

reply

Plus, even Carl capped zombie shane with one shot.

reply

She was handling a 6" .357 Magnum COLT PYTHON! No fucking way she could have shot with it at her age and strength as the recoil would fucking smack her head with it.

They rammed feminism hard into the show to make her look a 'strong woman' or in this case, a 'strong little girl'.

REALITY!

Also, she has the gun between her vagina. Maybe it's to signify she's as tough as a man to symbolize a penis? I dunno... I just swear there is some subliminal message they were trying to do.

reply

"I just swear there is some subliminal message they were trying to do."

Or maybe you just read way too much into it

reply

Star Wars Rey... that says it all.

reply

And your point is?

reply

It could very well be. Just strange is all to have it there of all places. :o

reply

Her hat was off...

We didn't see her shooting....

When we do get to see her, she looks like she just stood up to put the gun away...

SHE WAS KNEELING AND HOLDING THE GUN WITH TWO HANDS.

At least, that's my assumption by what's presented... and her youth and size...

Same people bitching about continuity here are the ones who want GD neegan to be the new leader!!!

Talk about lack of continuity.

reply

Well, it's a comic after all. Anyway, I kinda liked it and I think it's a great place to stop watching. The old storylines are finally over and Judith is growing to be a though survivor. All that's missing is a nice bow.

reply

I think they wanted to show her with key items... Her dad's gun, adopted mom's sword and her brothers hat.

reply

Mm yes I noticed that too.

reply

She was born into this world. It was obvious from the start she would be badass as hell even at very young age.

reply

Well the whole TV series is really her story and what shaped her, where as the comics is her brother's. Her not being a badass would be disappointing.

reply

Maybe if she is older like 15-16 it would have been fine or at least easier to take and would have look less silly too.

reply

If she is also the one telling the story then her being a badass at the point where she starts being an active part in it makes a lot of sense.

reply

The series went fully retard at that moment.
