I am sorry, but Carol looks like a grandma next to Ezekiel

Even though they are both supposedly gray.

reply

It doesn't matter. Maybe he likes older women.

reply

Matters if I don't believe in the romance.

But whatever, maybe I am the only one.

reply

Yeah it looks odd to me too, he has giant fake grey dreadlocks but his face is clearly that of a young man in his 30's. While Carol's hair is grey and has the face of a 50 year old woman. They're just an odd match and look weird together.

reply

I thought he was in his late 30's and she - in her early 50's. Basically 15 years apart.

Turns out they are only seven years apart in reality, he is older than he looks. The actor is 46 in reality.

reply

Black don't crack.

reply

I don't know, I've a lot of *young* black people who look way older than their age, like up to a decade older.

Maybe that adage becomes more true at an older age.

reply

Generally black skin tends to wrinkle less. Lifestyle matters, too.

reply

People keep saying that but the truth is that Carol is kind of a plain, unadorned woman in the first place and the very short gray haircut is not especially flattering. If you check out early seasons Carol has not changed that much particularly if you compare her to Norman Reedus.
Many people were fine with Norman Reedus and Emily Kinney and she looked much younger than he.

Khary Payton is a handsome man and I do think the dreads (long hair around the face) emphasis that fact.
Black may not crack (thicker skin) but it does sag and that's the worst sign of aging for any race.. After that it's genetics..and maybe surgery or fillers for an actor.

Anyway...it doesn't bother me. It's not likely to last long and romances and hook ups in this show have never been especially hot. It's good to see them happen because they would but there's no one to really "ship".

reply

Some women go gray early.
He doesn't look very young, either.
They look fine to me, personally.

reply

I don't like this storyline AT ALL. I can not believe that Carol and Ezekiel would ever have a meaningful relationship.

reply

I also can't.
