That lady with the van, the nice white suit, and the twin sister protectors....
Was she ever in the comics? Does anyone think she may pop-up again at some point? She was so arbitrary and....out of place in this world!

shareIm guessing was just setting her up for Season 9.
shareSomething is effed about her and her guards.
shareI couldn't tell if the guards were two men, two women, or one of each. After some scrutiny, I think it's a man and a woman, but I'm still not certain.
shareThey look like albino mutants
shareI think it was two woman...I was thrown off with the way one would say something then the other would literally just repeat what the first one said. The part where they called the pants suits act "benevolent" was particularly odd to me. Just a weird thing for them both to in concert say as if they worship this lady or something, but I'm probably reading too much into it. Little with TWD lately has made much of any sense to me.
shareShe was never in the comics, at least up until the end of the Negan war and the introduction of the Whisperers (when I quit reading).
They've also teased that damn helicopter a couple of times, but Jadis is still alive so she'll probably reveal something about that next season.
Yes, good point about that helicopter! If memory serves, that thing made an appearance as far back as Season 1, when Rick rode that horse into the downtown area. There was also a mysterious voice on the radio at one point in S1 or S2, but I don't think that plot point ever picked-up any traction.
shareThey aren't in the comics. These people are scouting like Aaron used to do, but they are doing it on a larger scale. Maggie passed their test by agreeing to the trade instead of robbing or killing them. If a group had vinyl records and knew what was on them, it meant someone there thought it was important enough to preserve historical evidence of civilization, they type of people they are looking to work with. Plus, groups would be less reluctant to trade them versus food supplies.
Except for spoken word albums, only straight up savages try to trade those.
Well...they MAY be part of "The New World Order" which is after the Whisperers in the comics. We are not sure, but they look very similar. See here for comic cover of issue#176:
