Mark my words that nice savior will kill Maggie

I haven't bought his nice guy act for a second, you guys know who i mean the savior whos been kissing Maggie's ass and acting like the nicest guy in the world. When all the other saviors escaped i think he decided to play the long game, he knew if he stayed behind it would earn him a spot there and they'd accept him.

Cause we've seen a few saviors who can play innocent very well, like that guy that purposefully pissed himself to look as if he was afraid.

I think this guy is getting Maggie and the hilltop to trust him, then he's gonna do some big move like trying to kill Maggie so he can earn points with Negan.

We've all heard the rumors of Lauren Cohan leaving the show, i don't really see Negan or Simon killing her, its gonna be an unexpected death and thats why i say its gonna be the nice guy savior whos been accepted at the hilltop.

Shes gonna have all her trust in him then he's gonna stab her in the stomach red wedding style.

reply

Interesting speculation. I think Maggie dying (or murdered) all hinges on whether or not Cohan's series gets picked up. I really can't see the show wanting to do away with her--not since they've already nixed Carl--another character who's still alive in the comics; it would disrupt the continuity with the comics too much. And god knows, the bunch of wankers who write the TV version of TWD possess very little actual creativity to have to craft original plots of their own without having the assist of being able to trace over the template of the comic's story.

reply

You might be right but I rather expect that it would be something like "you turned into something as evil as Negan so I had to stop you" crap.
This show sucks big time now. But I can't stop watching.

reply

Gregory will turn on her before that guy does.

reply

Yeah cause no one would see that coming....No one at Hilltop trusts Gregory anymore, he has no chance of getting the upper hand on anyone there.

reply

Speaking of Gregory...he's my guess for the person Negan found on the road and gave a ride in his car. I tried to think who else it might be, and about the only other person I could think of was Dwight's runaway wife.

reply

i thought it mite be the woman dwight didn’t kill when they attacked alexandria. didn’t one prrson get away?

reply

That's who I figured, the one that disappeared after Dwight led them into that ambush who hasn't been seen since.

reply

Yeah, that would make an interesting situation where Negan is in the Sanctuary with his 2 top guys and he knows they both have betrayed him.

reply

There is going to be hell to pay!!

reply

I read on Yahoo that it probably is Gregory.

reply

On MySpace a lot of people are saying that her baby will die in utero and eat its way out of her Alien style.

reply

Funny that idea should resurface... Back when the remake of Dawn Of The Dead came out, I remember posting on the imdb msg board for that film that it would have been cooler if that's what would have happened for the undead baby then, too.

reply

yeah, that was a rumor a year ago, but neonates have no teeth!!😬

reply

. . .so we're just not gonna talk about the fact that FilmBuff still has a MySpace account???

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Don't make fun. I mostly use Friendster, okay?

LOL

reply

I know, but I was being polite😃

Can't blame Maggie for wanting to leave the show ... she has been doing bit appearances for months ... everyone is unhappy with the way this show is incompetently written and mismanaged and has mangled characters that they have spent years creating and blow off in an episode for little reason. It's idiotic.

reply

I don't think it's very likely that the "nice guy savior" will kill Maggie. They've been really playing up the whole "there are good people; we can't kill everyone" theme, and that dude killing Maggie would be counterproductive to what they're setting up...especially if they're trying to turn Negan into a misunderstood good guy.

The only way I can see that dude killing Maggie is if it directly works as a pretext for Negan's redemption. But even then, him killing Maggie would then justify Rick & Morgan killing those Saviors that were willing to come back to the Hilltop, which was an act that painted them as worse than certain members of the Saviors; and (should) serve as Rick's "I've gone too far, and am slowly turning into a Negan myself" moment of self-reflection.

That dude killing Maggie sends the message that they can't trust ANY of them, ESPECIALLY Negan. And if Rick is turning into a Saviors candidate, then by extension he shouldn't be trusted either. Carl's sacrifice, and his letter to Rick, would have been for nothing.

I think that if Maggie HAS to die, it'll be the person with the personal grudge. The guy that no one should trust, but no one is particularly afraid of either: Gregory. If Maggie has to die, I think it would be either Gregory, or Simon - Two prominent characters that the show isn't trying to paint in a sympathetic light.

IMO, I supremely doubt that they'll kill off the character, especially before the baby is born. I think the show would sooner replace the actress than kill the character off.

Regarding the possibility of redeeming Negan......it's certainly obvious they've been trying to slowly humanize his character the past couple seasons. And, it WOULD be very cool to see a glimpse of who he was before the ZA (like when they showed that Michonne had been a lawyer, with a family, including a young child). However....as much as I like the idea of seeing a more fleshed-out character, with glimpses of his old (pre-ZA) self, it just doesn't seem realistic that he ever fully be redeemed on the show. How could any of them possibly fully forgive or forget him bashing Glenn and Abraham's heads in? There should just NOT be any forgetting of that. And I think THAT is what still motivates Rick. Heck, Rick really can't even blame Negan for Carl's death. But what happened to Glenn especially....affected him quite a bit. Well, that....and the fact that he broke Rick down in front of everyone (including Carl)...and threatened Carl the way he did. All of that just made something in Rick "snap", and he has made a vow a few times now: He will KILL Negan.

reply

I agree that Negan just cannot be redeemed. But, I suppose TIIC will just gloss over the Lucille bashings, and pretend they didn't happen. They don't care about the audience. They play with us all the time, with no regard. They think we'll soon forget about his machinations. There is rumor that it will be the Negan and Daryl show going forward after Andy leaves. The idiots network has to get the most out of their investment in JDM. I'm sure some people will watch , not me.

reply

Rosita and Maggie won't give him a pass. Rosita brought it up in tonight's episode when she confronted Eugene. Rick might decide to keep him alive, but he and pretty much everyone else know Negan is not to be trusted. So they don't kill him, but they can't turn him loose either. Same dilemma they had at the Hilltop. I think they are setting up for this to be a source of conflict next season because there are several years of peace and rebuilding between the end of the war and the Whisperers arc (assuming they do the Whisperers on the show). Can't have a show like this without conflicts, and if there aren't outside enemies, the conflicts would have to be internal.

reply

I'm not sure if you read the comics, (I do), and regarding Negan , if you want to know
Rick imprisons him for two years. During that time, Carl , alive in the comics, develops a rather mentor/mentee? relationship with him. Negan escapes, eventually, and then after a while, helps Rick and Co. fight the Whisperers.
I belong to The Spoiling Dead Fans website, and it is spumored that The Whisperers may appear not on TWD, but Fear. In any case, when Andrew Lincoln decides to leave the show, I'm done with TWD. I don't care after that.

reply

During that time, Rick never fully trusts Negan, even though Negan does everything he can to try and win that trust. The only times Rick or Dwight even give him a chance was when they were in situations where they thought they were all gonna die anyway. If they go there on the show,
Maggie and Dwight won't know for a while Rick kept Negan alive. And Maggie executes Gregory, so they are becoming 2 different types of leaders. When she finds out about Negan, it will cause a big problem for a while
That's the kind of stuff I'd guess they will play up during season 9

reply

Of course, what happens to Negan after the Whisperers, there is a little bit of trust involved with that, and a lot of pork and beans.

reply

yes, true.

reply

That is definitely an interesting theory.

I bought him as "one of the good ones now." But you are right. Many Saviors so far have pretended to play nice, only to show they always back Negan to the end. Dwight being the only exception so far.

reply

Nah, I disagree about Dwight. He's a weak man, a beta to any others. I never trust him, never will. He always does what's best for HIM. That's it.

reply

In the recent episode, he did so something "good" I guess, in trying to warn Rick and others about the Savior locations with that map.

But I do agree, I would never fully trust any Savior. I just saw Dwight as more of a milder, conflicted one who has attempted to help out Rick's team in a couple instances, and Dwight did kill a few fellow Saviors. So that's what makes me think he really wants out.

reply

Oh yes, he wants out, but I just don't see him being "all in" with Rick and Co. Dwight is out for himself, that's it. He will play on both sides.

reply

That would be nice for a change.
