Do you think things just went back to the way they were or did her time away make a lasting change?

Hard to say. At least, she now has a more healthy relationship to fall back on. The parents didn't seem as they were that keen on her, anyway.

Let's hope for the best, that she winds up where she truly belongs, in a loving home. The girl was just an angel. So were her Aunt & Uncle. She, at any rate, made HER choice.

I think she went with her new parents. The way Sean held onto her after he knew Da was approaching told me he wasn't letting go. That and Da's constant complaining about Cait's appetite and getting sick all the time made me think it would be a relief for him if she wasn't around.

When they showed Eibhlín, the foster mother as it were, and then Cait clutching the neck of Seán, it would be nice to think that. Still, I was afraid it would go the other way.

I have to think it was a happy ending, for my own peace of mind. Fictional or not, it got to me.
