I must have missed some things...

When Jay was released from custody, it seemed like Blake's letter from his alumni newsletter was in with Jay's personal possessions being returned to him. If so, why was it there?

It seemed like when Lizzie went to Blake's house the first time, the front door was unlocked and she just walked in. If that's the case I assume Blake had left it unlocked on purpose to have her trapped. Wouldn't that have set off alarm bells to her?

Why did it matter that Blake was speaking at the event near the end, why did Jay's girl think that would help. I assumed it would be so Jay could get some alone time in his house undisturbed, but he'd already been there and searched.

And then it turns out Jay was waiting at the event to follow Blake home. Why? What was in the documents that Blake threw in the bin when he walked out of the event, was that relevant? There were a few moments in this movie where letters and text messages were flashed a bit too quick and small to make out.
