Black D'Artagnan innit?
Terrible, terrible

reply

Alexander Dumas, the creator, was black and his father was the first black general in the French Army, so this may not be a stretch. Maybe an homage.

reply

Dumas's father was half black, his mother was white, so Dumas was one-quarter black. Regardless of Dumas's race, he wrote D'Artagnan as a white character, based on a real Musketeer who was also white.

Thanks for the detailed info. Ironically, based on the film's rating this thread is the most promotion it had.

reply

I knew that Dumas was part black. It wasn't so much the fact that this actor was black, it was the fact that this 'actor' couldn't act and had a silly accent
