Was a prototype for woke movies that came later
I remember hearing that the activist nutties in Hollyweird were actually conceptualizing what we would later call "woke" films as far back as 2013, but they didn't really put that awful formula to action until they tested this film out on audiences. As expected, the movie did poorly due to bad story-writing, bad acting, and race-swapping the Human Torch.
To be fair, the only difference between this film and later woke abominations was that they changed the marketing strategy. They chose to market the shit out of their later turds, as well as rage-baiting to get attention that they otherwise wouldn't have gotten at all.
