Much more content today, and you had a month to see this exclusively in theaters. Also, a lot of 80s and 90s theatrical Christmas movies were terrible.

As a kid I used to like going to a theater to see movies, too. But audience behavior over the past few decades has become intolerable. Today, I'm far happier seeing a movie on my large-screen HDTV without the distractions of people talking, eating smelly snacks, texting, pushing on the back of my seat, and blocking my view with their big heads. I'll probably never go to a movie theater again, and I'm glad.
