Joelle Carter's "accent"
Loved the show but for Christmas sake Ava's accent was too over the top, sing-songy, breathy, reading a Hallmark Card ridiculousness.

Well, more actors than not have had pretty bad accents on TV shows I've watched. I just thought hers was overly southern but I'm from the great white north so admittedly I have no room to compare.
The accent that bothered me most was Daryl Crowes. I just got done watching Prison Break again for like the 10th time so seeing Michael Rappaport try to pull off that scrappy southern accent was weird.
As a native Tennessean, I would say her accent was spot on. Outside of major cities in the South, especially the Upper South that's what you hear. Plus she is from Georgia so I would say she is using her natural accent.
