Thor question
What, exactly, is Thor's beef with the sea monster?
The research in these later episodes seems to be getting a bit lazy.
Next year, I'm having the Joker do my taxes.

It was the sea monster that Utgarda-Loki put up against Thor's strength. The cat that he was challenged to lift was this very sserpent in disguise, the mid-gard serpent, which encircled man's world, that which he was prophesized to battle in the Final Battle. Since he couldn't get revenge on the others, why not go after the tangible foe.
shareActually, the incident with Utgard-Loki had nothing to do with Thor's beef with the Migard Serpent. Thor was after the Serpent simply because it was prophesied to kill him during Ragnarok and so he decided to try to kill the Serpent before Ragnarok happens just to prevent his death. Obviously, he winds up failing to do so and winds up dying as a result.
