Because we pay high taxes so we can subsidise woke bs.

reply

Taxes didnโ€™t make this bro ๐Ÿ™„ beside how tf is this woke

reply

I dont know. I havent seen it and will not either. But I think its a clear red flagg for woke on the cover. And if you cant see it, then I guess you are blind.

reply

hmm ๐Ÿค” i'm not seeing it either. perhaps explain it to those of us who aren't racist? OOPS I MEANT those of us who aren't high IQ descendants of glorious civilizations, successful beacons of humanity, righteous believers in the one true king god, all that is holy true and just

i forgot you are all so extremely fragile and sensitive to the r-word ๐Ÿค. my apologies good sir

"perhaps explain it to those of us who aren't racist?"

Hmm... I didnt say anything about race, did I?

"OOPS I MEANT those of us who aren't high IQ descendants of glorious civilizations, successful beacons of humanity, righteous believers in the one true king god, all that is holy true and just"

I dont even understand what you are on about here.

"i forgot you are all so extremely fragile and sensitive to the r-word ๐Ÿค. my apologies good sir"

I am not afraid of the word racist, racism or any other term. I just didnt bring anything up.

The movie title is vulgar and infantile with a logo that fits the bill. I call it woke because that is a part of the woke narrative. Childish vulgarties to destroy what is good and decent. Although we cross that line many years ago now, some still think its productive to keep making lowbrow nonsense to kick up open doors and pretend to rebel against norms we lost 30 years ago.

ok this is interesting. most definition explanations of "woke" i see bandied about explicitly include race and (forced) DEI in the definition, in some form or another. i've seen this ballpark definition regularly for a long time. but vulgarity and infantile, rebellion and good and decent ....all these are new ones, especially when you also seem to be explicitly excluding race as playing even an inferred part of the definition, if i am reading you correctly....? ๐Ÿค”

it'd be nice if you as the counter-activists could all just get together and first decide collectively what the word is actually supposed to mean in your own vernacular, and inscribe that in a well populated highly visible area. you can use it as your own counter to the way the pro-woke side does, or has tried to do for example like wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woke (๐Ÿ‘ˆ note the explicit references to race)

that'd be great..very helpful ๐Ÿ‘

The woke term is overused really, and could be interchanged with PC or liberal ideas etc. Ive heard people say that the term could be talked about for hours before we really understand it. I think its just a cliche term used to explain left wing propaganda ideas in pop-culture.

One could deconstruct it to: Woke is: 1) feminism, 2) critical race theory, 3) anti-christian 4) anti-family, 5) LGBTQ romanticizing/ sex positive. Its all of that and perhaps most imporantly: its message/ propaganda OVER entertainment.

People dont think a "gay character" or a "strong female character" is woke IN ITSELF. Its when its so CLEARLY written to be just that. It removes entertainment value, and becomes to many cringe.

"you as the counter-activists"

I dont consider myself a "counter-activist". I just wished I didnt have to pay to subsidise this movie when I work and freeze my a.. off. And I call it as I see it. I call it... sigh... woke. Because it clearly wants to propagandise ideas I dont share. And being forced to pay for it... is sickening.

reply

ok i like your new definition. only because it's a lot more inline with what i had been hearing about before. but i think this means you somewhat abandoned the other "vulgar etc" definitions perhaps.. and luckily with the inclusion of critical race theory it does appear that race is indeed back into the picture so i can attack you with that now๐Ÿคญ, so that's good. though this is what I mean: there needs to be a well agreed upon standard rule inscribed somewhere

i don't consider myself a counter-activist

yes many activists don't. when people created the whole woke idea in the first place i'm sure not all of them said "i'm going create the term work to decsribe social justice and racial justice activism etc".. they started by looking at something happening around them and in society. they interpreted it a certain way. they noticed what they claimed to be patterns. they decided it was an injustice or otherwise the "wrong" way or a way that "shouldn't be". then they acted against it. sound familiar?

i hope so. what the anti woke side so to speak generally does now. theirs is a purported reaction to an action that was reaction to different reaction which was probably a reaction to another reaction.. ad infinitum.

whereas people who are not activists on the other hand might see a spermageddon cover and just ......scroll past it... close the browser and go on with their lives. no social consideration. nothing necessitating remedy

i actually imagine that the first modern post industrialized mass entertainment "feminists" looked at then modern culture, allegedly hypermasculine anti-woman yeehaw sexualization culture (john wayne or i dont know whatever the fuck), and had the same kinds of reaction to the then predominant culture. called it propaganda, wrong, exclusionary, anti-whatever. then they acted

oh and well in an ostensibly democratic society so long as your viewpoint reaches majority you theoretically can change the forced payment thing
