Goodness sakes. What a convoluted plot.

Twist 1 - Best friend goes missing after a night partying.
Twist 2 - Best friend had an affair with girl's husband in the months leading up to the weekend.
Twist 3 - Best friend turns up dead in the water, and had died by drowning.
Twist 4 - Hotel owner has cameras in every room and records it all... what the eff.
Twist 5 - Syrian taxi driver man has connections to Albanian criminal trafficking group.
Twist 6 - Police detective involved with best friend being dropped off and ends up dying
Twist 7 - Best friend was killed by girl's husband who didn't even try to rescue her from drowning.

Not to mention how trusting she was of total strangers!!!

The taxi driver, I'll give her - he did help; but he knew an awful lot on how to find people and get the answers.

The hotel owner though? He was creepy from the beginning and to just agree to stay in a spare bedroom in HIS room was very bazaar.....

She really didn't have much choice, and probably couldn't afford to stay anywhere else. It was a foreign country and at least she was familiar with the place. Yeah he was creepy, but she felt she could take care of herself. I didn't see it as that far-fetched. She didn't seem to be filthy rich like her friend (even though the credit card was declined... I guess a red herring that maybe she committed suicide and was faking her wealth, for one last hurrah).

the final twist with the damn bead just destroyed an otherwise hilarious thriller.
i was rolling on the floor when the cop took a dive..
