Protagonists that make you feel funny
I really enjoyed this film. Also, everyone who I've told about it, has come back and said it was a great film.
After reading the comments here, I noticed that a lot of dislike for the movie was generated during the opening "mugging" scene. And the perception that the movie was attempting to somehow condone that behavior by having a scene about it. This made me think of the movie "No Rest For The Wicked" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1661862/?ref_=nv_sr_2
Apparently, Sylvester Stallone will be creating an American version of this film. I wonder how it will be received by audiences. Personally, I loved the Spanish version. There was a certain point in the film where I caught myself thinking,"Wait, I'm actually rooting for this guy now?"
Barring some of the other well known crime movies (The Godfather, Heat, Goodfellas) are there other movies where the "good guy" is of questionable character?
I can think of "The Guard" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1540133/?ref_=nv_sr_2 and "In Bruges" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0780536/?ref_=nv_sr_1
Any others?
