So, is London the least safe capital in Western Europe and how safe is it compared to NY or LA? Are other bigger UK cities having the same safety problem as London?

Are you stupid? These kids aren't worse than some suburban middle class Americans. You must live in some Utopia To think these teens are a "threat to society".

Just answer the question, please. Thanks. :)
Is London the least safe capital in Western Europe?

I believe Paris and Rome have worse statistics for violent crime. But it changes. Best to google it, to be honest. (I may be way off the mark there).
From personal experience London is only potentially unsafe in certain suburbs at certain times of night. Much like any other city. I've lived in Hackney and Lewisham which both have "reputations", and Hackney was one of the most vibrant, friendly places I've ever lived... Lewisham not so much.
London Central is safe. It's vast. It's policed. It's blanketed with CCTV.

In all fairness you really would have to wait until Western Europe had had at least 10 or 15 alien invasion type scenarios before we could determine if their were trends forming, as it stands at the moment all Western European cities are in joint first place with NY, LA and any other city. They all have zero alien problems.

Opinions are just onions with pi in them.

The funny thing is, most of the capitals would say otherwise (even if they'd be exaggerating).

This is one part of London, not the entire city. Dimples mentioned they lived in a council estate, that's the UK equivalent of the projects. It seems about as safe as housing projects in NYC or Chicago & safer than the housing projects in St Louis.

Even the roughest London ghettos will be like a lite-version of the ones in LA and NYC. All that terrible American street culture may have infected Britain, but the gangs over here are a pale imitation of the ones over there.

True say

Maybe... but its perhaps an unfair comparison as London's at least twice as large as other Western European cities, so it's problems with poverty, crime, social deprivation (and alien invasion) are of a different magnitude.

More like NYC, Tokyo, Moscow etc.. IMHO I've felt equally safe living in London and NYC, and probably safer than in some areas of Moscow or Istanbul.

London and NY are also much more diverse - perhaps that helps!?
