This movie flopped big time in the U.S. Did American audiences just not "get" it? Shame really...this was a good film. Thoughts? Comments?

Was it released in a lot of cinemas? What was the advertising like?

I agree that this was a really good film.

Due to the lack of moderators, trolls can ruin the IMDB message boards. Don't feed them.

I'm glad it flopped, it is a disgusting and unpleasant abomination.

I think it did okay in the U.S.---it got kind of a limited release here, but since so few British sci-fi films are released here, let alone Brit films with all-black casts, I was just glad to see it, period. There has been talk of a sequel in the last year, and that John Boyega might come back for it, but so far, I haven't seen much about it.
