Are multi-ethnic gangs common in the UK?

I am from the USA and most of the gangs tend to be all white or all black (or all whatever) are gangs made up of black and white common in the UK?

I went to school in the UK as a kid. It was in a town near London. A lot of the kids were from the government high-rise housing, my best friend had a parent in prison.
The social divide in our schoolyard was not black and white- it was south Asian and then everyone else.
I didn't see gangs but I did know a couple of kids committing minor crimes; I left just before all the kids turned 12 and started high school.

Most of the kids I see hanging around together are a mixture of different ethnicities.

You hang around a lot of gangs? That's really the story you're gonna go with?

I'd sooner believe you just pulled some census data out of your butt to have something to complain about than believe you actually come across a ton of gangs to know if they accept people who aren't the same color.
