did kristen wiig aand the bratty 13 yr old ad-lib that scene?
Best scene in the movie.
share"enjoy having a baby at your prom"
shareNever thought about it, but I would believe it. It's every funny and seems off the cuff.
shareI can't imagine a 15 yo who had been acting professionally for only a year could pull off an improvised scene but who knows? Really funny scene. Shocked to learn she's Peter Frampton's daughter.
sharelol good scene always
shareWhat? That was his daughter?!
shareMia Frampton was so good, she had that spoiled princess down. The white beret was a nice touch too, for whoever thought of it.
Mia is in another movie "That's What I Am" when she is younger than in Bridesmaids.
There is a video on YouTube of this scene, which goes on 10 minutes, all insults between the 2. It looks like it might have been adlibbed, in part.
I got the sense it was scripted by a 14 year-old boy - someone who would think that a woman calling a teenage girl a "little *beep* for a punchline is hilarious.
It's not, but then I'm a guy, and I'm not even sure what it was about a girl wanting to buy something for her best friend that made her "bratty".
Possibly. I would believe it. That scene was originally ten minutes long. It was absolutely hilarious and it's such a shame that they trimmed it down. The full argument is on YouTube. You can watch it there.

As I read this, the scene is playing. lol
"And even with Will dead, the love triangle is not over."
Not sure, but here's the whole thing (10 minutes): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jWY2Xg0N4I
Amazing they cut that down to just a few choice lines.
Yikes -- I actually prefer the shortened version that ended up in the movie!
This extended argument doesn't really have the zing and zap that the edited one does. The insults are very weak. It may be more realistic to the weak comebacks people tend to have in real life conflicts, but it's not as entertaining as the best bits they left in for the movie.
