What is the moral?

I watched this movie and I didn't find it particularly hilarious, it actually seemed to be more of a dramadey. I don't know why, it just struck me that way. I think it's actually a little more serious than people make it out to be. It seems to me like the film is about venturing out and finding yourself and leaving your comfort zone. The small town that Ed Helms grew up is the comfort zone and the city represents his "venturing out." Idk, I rarely post on these boards anymore but this topic struck my interest.
So, what (if any) do you think is the moral to this story?

that selling out your integrity to get ahead might not feel so good in the end?

Good point

Right, although selling your integrity to get HEAD could still feel really good.

I think that's why some people are rating this movie low: They don't realize that it's not just pure comedy. People are disappointed that there aren't more jokes/more extreme humor etc, but that's not necessarily the movie's goal.
