'Pointless indie comedy' feel to it? Not much happens?

Yeah, it's pretty low-key, but I don't put it in the category of one of those "nothing really happens" movies. A lot happens to Ed Helms' character, whose principled views are challenged and ultimately validated and fortified by the end. We don't see that too often anymore, at least not in these types of comedies. Most people probably find those themes corny & naive, but their representations are sorely lacking in today's culture. Typically, comedies of this sort result in the main characters abandoning all their inhibitions and mores, and in turn promote others to do the same.

Now, having said that, it is indeed raunchy enough in content that I wouldn't recommend it to my grandparents (were they still around) let alone children, despite what I think its themes are. My dad would probably get a kick out of it though!
