Some Things Don't Add Up...
As in the very beginning, with Atlanna not knowing what a dog was. That's certainly overkill on exaggerating the "fish out of water" part. Really she didn't know what a dog was huh?
Atlantis is a lost underwater civilization that we don't know about or believe exists but they very much know about us here on the surface.
As Mera proved early on as we see her venture to the surface to try to convince Arthur to help her, they can if they want come up here & walk around & not get noticed if they put a little effort into it. They would be able to know all about us, what our cities were, what our languages were, go to a zoo & know what animals existed on the surface. Well that's common sense, the same exact ones that existed BEFORE Atlantis sank, so that's no shock there.
Orm was VERY familiar with the surface world, he had dealings obviously with us surface dwelling humans for awhile, so he wasn't phased by what he saw or heard.
But such a thing as a dog we're lead to believe didn't exist before Atlantis sank or wasn't even found on Atlantis. Heck ok, let's say for the sake of argument in all of Atlantis a dog wasn't to be found, it wasn't native to it or they didn't care for it or bother to bring them in, they wouldn't have knowledge that it existed in the WORLD? Like lions & tigers & such, but they'd be clueless because it just wasn't "there" Better yet, no one since then has ever come up here & seen one or knew about them?
Again as in Atlanna's shock at seeing a dog in the beginning. We understand what what was supposed to be implied but actually it made no common sense whatsoever. Stupid part of the movie, but that's just me. What do you say?
