Severe damage will be done to Bumblebee's prospects. This cultural phenomenon will also deflate a lot of lift out of Mary Poppin's umbrella. After yet another money-loser in the super-expensive Ralph Breaks the Internet it will be interesting if it's budget is another black hole.
could have swore you were making this thread to Brag about Overseas box office....
I thought the title of going to be "This will be THE movie at the Christmas box office"
then when you clicked on the thread it was going to say "This will be THE movie at the Christmas box office....Overseas"
because at least that Is true....
right now nothing is pointing to Aquaman "dominating Christmas" or having the Jumanji legs you keep guaranteeing...
in fact everything is pointing to Aquaman being yet another DCEU film to open big but fall off a cliff....
Aquaman's reviews are among the ODDEST I've seen.....Its almost the Worst reviewed, good reviewed movie I've ever seen...
Aquaman's Average RT score is 6.2 and Its Meta score s 53 and falling...
simply put, Aquaman isnt even on par with The MCU's Worst and weakest film in Thor 2....
Thor 2 got decent reviews but had average to below average WOm which lead to weak legs ....
Aquaman reviews are WORSE than Thor 2's ...
basically even the people that like Aquaman seem to think its average at best....the Majority of all Positive reviews are 6 or 6.5's.....3s ....or C+ to B-'s....
I hate the Transformers comparison because almost everyone uses it wrong, But at this point, I think with Audiences at least , thats about the best Aquaman can do .....the movie seems to have Huge Problems that Critics can't over look..
but maybe audiences Will be able to....Maybe Audiences Will just "have fun" with the movie, enjoy its special effects and action and All the other problems wont bother Them as much...
but again I cant help but notice the pure delusional nature of this thread queen...
again if you want to point to Aquaman dominating overseas, thats fine...Thanks to China Aquaman is doing incredible.
but to say/claim Aquaman is going to dominate domestically as of RIGHT NOW does not seem to be a thought based in reality...
With WOM this Average....Aquaman could very well get eaten alive by competition domestically
over Christmas...
right now you have ....
Bumblebee, Into the Spiderverse and Mary Poppins all receiving good to great reviews that will play Great over the entire Xmas season....Then come Vice and welcome to Marwen(which almost certain should get good reviews) that Will play well, then Holmes and Watson comes that will eat up a chuck of box office
Bo.com is already predicting Aquaman to fall off a cliff with a 240 M domestic total
bottom line....rest easy, Aquaman is going to be a Huge hit(and 1 Billion is even on the table thanks to China)....But this thread is quite telling, I think you clearly see the handwriting on the wall...that Aquaman just isnt as good as you and Most of us hoped....and Its success is going to be Mainly overseas...
so far the DCEU films have averaged around a 60/40 split between Overseas and domestic(WW being the lone exception)
its entirely possible Aquaman is heading toward a drastic 70 /30 + difference...
I think your probably kinda nervous and disappointed in Aquaman's reviews and quality....I think you know its not going to be the domestic performer you've Predicted...so your making delusional threads to ease the pain...
remember, You've made 2 predictions for Aquaman...
1 is you literally predicted Aquaman to be the highest grossing domestic earner of all time.....
You predicted Aquaman to Open over 135 Million for its 3 day OW....then have A 8X Jumanji type run resulting in Aquaman making over 1 Billion dollars domestically...
then more recently You changed your prediction to a 135 M 3 day OW....and then A Jumanji type run which would mean your now expecting over 400 Million domestically...
I think you now know with reviews and WOM this average and with competition this strong....thats going to be extremely difficult, maybe impossible....and to add insult to injury , sites are still predicting Disney's Mary Poppins to beat Aquaman domestically and Having The exact "Jumanji type run" your predicting for Aquaman...
queeen your just going to have to find a way to be happy with HUGE overseas results and decent domestic results...heres a thought though...dont get to "Trolly" on Opening Weekend, Aquaman is going to open HUGE domestically, but its probably going to fall off a cliff...so better wait until week 2 before making shameless troll threads...
After yet another money-loser in the super-expensive Ralph Breaks the Internet it will be interesting if it's budget is another black hole.
^^^^^^^
lololololololololl
awww queen's still upset and embarrassed about your "The Grinch is going to Detrhone Frozen 2 has the highest grossing animated film of all time" predictions...
lol what was the prediction again?
500 M domestic?
1.2 Billion + overseas ?
hey you only about 800 Million dollars off.....
lol
PS I chuckled out loud that you literally had to reply and BUMP your own thread.....
Do you mean Christmas day or 19-25 extra-long weekend?
Families with pre-teens will likely see Poppin's, maybe Bumblebee. Aquaman will be 13-29, Bumblebee will be teen girls and 18+. Poppin's 40+, most likely to stay home.
The local theatre is single screen, so Aquaman it is!
Sorry...I don't think it will be close at all. World wide will be even worse as there isn't much of a market for Mary Poppins outside of the U.S. and UK.
And still...Disney spent 130 million on it's budget.
All the DC people need to do to have a massive hit on their hands is... make a good movie for once!
Huge numbers of people like superhero movies and will pay to see them, all they really want is a couple of hours of fun and fantasy. Pity that the DC people have had so much trouble delivering that.
I think you are quite right. Since the DCEU movies are from bad to meh (with the sole exception of WW, that wan't that good either) all they can talk is about money. Aquaman is a very meh movie and the quality of DCEU does not seem to improve bit. But make millions, lots of money so we keep getting these crappy movies. Look at Venom, look at Transformers (each movie worse than the previous one).
seriosuly , who gives a fudge , do you plan on watching any of these movies? do you actually like movies? this obsession of yours with numbers is so bizzare.
I think the rerelease of It's a Wonderful Life with new scenes added by George Lucas will take the holiday box office. I especially want to see the scene where Jabba the Hut is threatening Clarence for non-payment.
Speaking of 67 million opening weekends...that's the exact amount that the Grinch had, bill.
Y'know...11 million MORE than Ralph Breaks the Internet's. But only YOU would be inexplicably dumb enough to create a taunting post directed at me about how Ralph opened bigger.
That has to be the strangest thing I have ever witnessed on a movie discussion board.
