How has Sherlock impacted your life?

Iā€™m involved in a Sherlock-themed project and I want to know from fans: how has Sherlock impacted your life? Has it helped in a pivotal moment? Has it changed the way you see things? How was your experience as a Sherlock fan?

Dude I'm a fan.....I'm not that big of a fan to say a TV show impacted my life.

I will however say that there is a way that my life (already runs parallel) with Mr. Holmes. I am a workaholic. I pretty much live for the job and the service that the wok provides. Some people see this as being cold and without feeling or compassion towards anyone or anything. What these people need to understand is that for the world to go round and round (not literally) some people have to make the hard sacrifices to forego their own desire to get the job done. We wish it did not have to be this way but we do it because we can endure it.

Well, for me it showed that it is still posible to make good (actually great) TV shows, with fantastic writing and acting.

Not long after watching the pilot I was on the bus and noticed a guy who looked like he was or had been a military man. There were several rrasons for thinking this, so I asked him. He said he was, and that he'd been retired for a while but there are some traits you cannot break. I thought it was interesting what you can pick up on when you actually pay attention.

I started watching Sherlock in March 2014 while writing my Master's thesis. I developed a huge crush on Sherlock as well as Benedict Cumberbatch and suffice to say, for the next few weeks I spent less time on my thesis than I should have. Anyway, the crush wore off after a while, as it always does with me, and I went back to focusing on my thesis feeling a little foolish ī€‡

well it kinda ruined my life hahah.

I became obsessed with it and then with Benedict. Which then introduced me to the wonderful: Tom Hiddleston.

We are kindred spirits! I never quite developed a crush on Hiddleston but placed him on my mental list of "crush-worthy" people because he channels the same sophisticated, charismatic and articulate archetype of the upper-crust Englishman that I used to think was the product of a bygone era.

Another Englishman I am closely watching is Eddie Redmayne, because he seems like he is equally intelligent and talented, but not as debonair, and therefore more relatable for socially awkward people like me šŸ˜Š
