IMDb says it will air on the 1st of January on BBC, but when will it come to netflix? I´m not from the UK and don´t have BBC at home, but I ocasionaly re-open my netflix account (where I also found the first 3 seasons).
If someone knows, please tell me so I can plan what moth to pay netflix again!
It depends where you're at. As I learnt from this board initially and later had it confirmed, in my country (Finland) and some others (Sweden, at least) series 4 is distributed by Netflix as in it's not broadcast on regular TV at all. This means that I expect it to hit Netflix either weekly the day after the UK broadcast, or at the latest in early February. If you are in some country where a regular TV channel will be airing the series though, then you'll probably need to wait for a few months at least (the Netflix release schedules vary country to country.) Sorry, I can't be any more specific, I doubt anyone knows yet.

At the moment I´m in Lithuania, so as its close to Finland, maybe the´ll put it right on Netflix too? I hope they do because I don´t watch lithuanian tv at all as the dub all things with one voice only (yes, I watched Pirates Of The Carbbean: Curse of the black Pearl with two people reading the whole freaking script, one male and one female voice reading, not acting).
I am so happy we don't do dubbing in Finland. I hate even the kinds of dubs they do in France/Germany which are professional enough with a different voice actor for every character, but the "simple" dubs are even worse.
I tried to look it up for you, didn't even know where to start with Lithuania but I figured it might be similar there than in Estonia. I couldn't find anything for them either, but here in Finland everything is always announced super late too, I think just a few weeks ago no one here knew where or when Sherlock would be airing. Hope they'll give out some info soon. :)

And actually, as we started to talk about dubs, I really like what the Germans do so far. I grew up on German tv and while some dubs are worse then others, sometimes I find the actors doing an even better job then the original one
Where are you? In the US it airs on PBS masterpiece on Sundays beginning Jan. 1.

share"Masterpiece" changed their branding a couple of years ago such that the program name now precedes the phrase "on 'Masterpiece'." So you should be able to find it under either name. Does your local PBS station not have its January schedule posted yet? Searching their website should find it whatever name it's listed under.
Thanks, I'll have to look into it. I don't typically ever watch pbs so I didn't know they even posted the schedule this far ahead of time.
shareIt will be released on Netflix 2nd of January, so only one day after it airs in BBC. So the wait will not be that long. Not sure it's the same for Netflix in all countries but it should be. Check your local entertainment news to be sure.

shareI couldn't find any info on when it'll hit Netflix in Finland, but I did find out that the Swedish premiere date is Jan 2. And since all sources have mentioned Netflix buying the "Nordic rights" to season 4, I would make an educated guess that it'll be up in all Nordic countries at the same time. shareAinakaan Finnkinon sivuilla ei oo mitään mainintaa 3. jaksosta vaiks yleensä Event Cinema jutut tulee aika aikaisin myyntiin. Doctor Whon jouluspessuakaan ei screenata siellä vaiks viime vuonna siitäkin oli näytös, et voi olla, että tänä vuonna BBC:n kanssa ei oo tehty sopimuksia teatterinäytöksistä. Mut jos kerran saadaan jaksot vaan yhden päivän viiveellä Netflixiin, niin aika hyvä diili jokatapauksessa. :)
