Thanks!

Exact air time may vary from station to station. Check your local listings when it gets a bit closer to January 1. If you ever watch Masterpiece Mystery on Sunday evenings, it's probably safe to assume that's the time they'll air Sherlock.
shareI believe in years past, Sherlock was the 9pm slot, as it followed Downton Abbey's 8pm slot. Guessing it will be that slot since Victoria is taking the 8pm slot sometime in Jan.
shareOh, are you talking Central time? Then yes, "Victoria" would be at 8:00 in your time zone, with "Sherlock" probably at 9:00 or 9:30 for its final episode.
I know I'll be checking my TV guide as January 1 rolls around. The wait is almost over :)
Metallica and Iron Maiden fan who is also a Brony.
Great! I can actually stay up and watch it! (no work the following day!!!)
shareGood question. I think "Sherlock" will be the only "Masterpiece" program on Jan. 1st and 8th, so it should get the plum 9:00 p.m. slot. However, "Victoria" starts on January 15th at 9:00, so does that mean that the "Sherlock" season finale will get bumped to a later slot? Or have I missed an upcoming "Masterpiece" show and "Sherlock" will start at 10:00 or 10:30 all three weeks? I'm guessing 9:00 for the first two weeks, but that's just a guess. I can't find any PBS stations that have their early-January schedules online yet.
Okay, I managed to play a little trick on WGBH's website, and "Sherlock" is indeed scheduled for 9:00 p.m. on Jan. 1st and 8th. The Jan. 15th schedule wasn't available yet, but since "Victoria" is supposed to be on at 9:00, I'm guessing that "Sherlock" will be at 10:00 or 10:30.
Thank you for checking that out!
shareHowever, "Victoria" starts on January 15th at 9:00, so does that mean that the "Sherlock" season finale will get bumped to a later slot?Bumped to an earlier slot, actually.
I'm really concerned that they are only scheduling a 90-minute timeslot for a 90-minute program. That means PBS will have to edit out some of each episode to make time for their promo spots like they did with S1 and S2. :(
Not that I'll be watching on PBS anyway (I can't get that channel) but it's a rip-off for everyone who thinks they're getting the full Sherlock episodes when they're not.
7:30 central or would that make it 6:30? 7:30 I can do, 6:30 would be impossible. I keep checking my local PBS schedule and they only go two weeks out. Boo.
shareOh ok. Thanks! I am a-ok with either the 10/9c or 9/8c. I just don't want 8/7c, as I would be the 7pm slot and there is nooooo way with toddler twins that I can make that early showing and we don't have a dvr. Hehe.
shareFinally can see Jan. 1 on my local pbs schedule. 8pm premiere! Woo!
shareMy on screen menu for Jan 1st indicates one hour and 36 minutes for the Masterpiece airing of Sherlock. I don't know if this means PBS is showing it without cuts. PBS usually adds some promos at the beginning/end so I don't know how much of that 1:36 is actual program.
