Well worth it for Idris Elba's performance alone
Sure it's got it's flaws but Elba's performance as Luther is why this show is highly rated imo.
It's a shame at time when you see an acting talent like Elba wasted in Marvel films and blockbusters, I'm sure he does it for the money. When you see him in this, The Wire, Beast of No Nation and Mandela, you wish he did better work more often then not.
The first three seasons are very good. The forth a little too short and no Ruth Wilson as Alice in it probably doesn't help either. I probably wouldn't go 8.5 on my score, it be probably a 8.
