I know that haters are going to hate... But I've now watched this movie 3 times, over the course of about 2 years... And this time I cried at the end.
Maybe the haters should give it another try; maybe they missed something.
Maybe they went in with the wrong expectations, and so they were disappointed.
I don't know... But this film is a masterpiece.
agree, i watch this movie everytime i can, the first time i saw it i was like oh yes a film about aliens, action and *beep* and i was pumped, but then i watched it and it was totally different , a lot of drama, with very few action scenes, but i liked this movie, what i loved the most was (and is) the soundtrack, amazing soundtrack fits perfectly with every scene

I agree. It was kind of a slow burner, but I really liked it. I give it a 7.5/10. And the score is excellent. I'm listening to it right now. It sort of reminded my of Close Encounters, Cloverfield and Arrival. I think I may know now where Arrival got its alien design. The film looked at aliens from a totally different perspective, especially in the gas station sex scene at the end.
Btw, I was really glad the "Valkyries" soldier survived! Everybody needs a theme song.
