According to comicbook.com, in addition to Daddario's role, they're casting for two other ladies: CJ, the Pam Anderson role who will likely be played by a buxom blonde which Dobrev is not, and Stephanie, an older lifeguard who is the Rock's love interest which makes Dobrev too young.

shareIf the comicbook.com summary of the main characters is correct, there are three principal female characters. Daddario is heading the bunch as Summer. CJ is likely to be played by a buxom white blonde, i.e. an Upton, Decker or McKinney. That means that if Carla is Stephanie, they might get some flack about casting all whites in their principal female parts.
Maybe they could look at Rosario Dawson for Stephanie.
But if Rock wanted to cast Carla again, he could have her as the evil oil tycoon.
Yeah, I can see the above being a bit tricky, considering they can be selective in terms of who they go for in that third role. I like Dawson but wouldn't mind seeing someone else get a chance.

After Top Five, Dawson has certainly shown the formidability to stand up to The Rock. And she's worked with him before on The Rundown, just like Alexandra did on San Andreas.

Bear in mind that the role we want them for is a veteran lifeguard so she's allowed to be older. And Dawson is 7 years older than Daddario and 7 years younger than Rock.
Well not sure if age is the main factor as while she's a good looking woman she's not exactly buxom enough for the role.
