What's the deal with the uniforms?

The guys are wearing wetshirts with their swim trunks and so far, one of the ladies is wearing a long-sleeved one-piece. Unless there's some point behind it that will be addressed in the movie, this isn't Baywatch swimwear.

Yeh I wasn't quite sure what to make of it myself. They look like outfits that Olympic athletes would wear. You cant do Baywatch without the iconic Baywatch swimsuit. Everyone is so covered up. The target audience for this movie want to see some skin. That's why most viewers tuned in back in the 90's. Escapism and eye candy. Hopefully these costumes are just for specific scenes and they are keeping the proper main swimsuits under wraps for now.

Surprised no one has sent a tweet to The Rock asking him about this. He seems receptive to answering questions from his fans. As of now based on what we know/seen, this movie is going to be a disaster.

reply

I don't think he's as receptive as you'd like to think.

The movie is pg 13 guys to bring in more kids. They're not doing R so you can forget about Bikini's.

reply

Nope, The Rock confirmed the movie is going to be rated R.

reply

Well you don't need an R to have bikini's. The original Baywatch was on TV and it had its fair share of bikini's. Is society so messed up today that even the sight of a bikini will give a movie an R rating?

reply

But they may need an 'R-rating' to allow them to push the suggestive, apparent & overt sexual stuff throughout the film.
