Why is it called Baywatch? Are they patroling a Bay?
Never understood that... is it a lifeguard thing? That said, I can't wait for this.

shareClearly, you are not familiar with the TV series. Lifeguards watch swimmers in the water. This swimming area is in a bay. So, the lifeguards watch the bay.
shareThey are watching the ocean as opposed to a bay. Or at least, I think that is what the OP is referring to. Look at Wikipedia: Baywatch is an American action drama series about the Los Angeles County Lifeguards who patrol the beaches of Los Angeles County, California, starring David Hasselhoff.
shareThe water there is called the Santa Monica Bay. The area is called the South Bay.
George Carlin: It's all bullsh-t and it's bad for ya.
This is a great question that has bugged me for ages and I'm glad it was finally answered. I have another question. So Batman? Is he like a man who looks like a bat? I don't understand it all but I'm really looking forward to it!
