I wish Vince Vaughn hadn't been passed on for the leading role in this

It is a shame because he definitely has the acting chops to pull it off

Vaughn is way too pudgy to pull off playing a lifeguard. He's the type of guy to sit around drinking beers and watching a ballgame, not a guy who spends that much time in the gym.
