Anyone think this will be absolutely awful and miss the entire point?

It's stupid to even make this movie now in this overly PC (read: lame) society where it's only okay to sexualize men (Magic Mike, etc.). Lemme guess: There will be male frontal nudity for humorous effect but no female nudity at all even though just looking at the leads Daddario has already done it and Rohrbach is a model and therefore likely comfortable with it.

No one watched the show for the plot (which was generic crap), they watched it for the hot women and The Hoff. I would hope The Rock understands its appeal but I somehow doubt he has the guts to actually go there.

Man I hope your wrong.. Sick of this PC bs ruining movies. I think the cast can pull it off actually but the writers and directors need to not be afraid to show the ladies.

Is there actually a point? It's Baywatch, not Hamlet. Good-looking people (of both genders) in bathing suits is about as deep as it gets.

I think you overestimate the willingness of a female model to actually do nudity. Unless it's for (old) Playboy or some artsy magazine, all female models do is tease without showing the moneymakers. This is especially true of models who want to break into acting.

Now I have got over the new cast and the film bring shot in different locations to the TV series. I just hope they don't mess this up. So many 70's 80's and 90's a TV shows that get remade for the big screen are messed up so much that you wonder if the writers and producers and directors of the film version ever saw the original TV versions. Then there are one of 2 that are good. So it's 50/50 if this will be any good.
