why would they make a remake of the worst tv show or movie ever made?

this is the ultimate example of Hollywood completely having run out of ideas. it's this because Baywatch was the most not liked, unappreciated, not respected, stupid, pointless, and most made fun of because it's so stupid and pointless show that has ever been made. so Hollywood has so much run of out of ideas and is so uncreative that they first remade movies, then they ran out of movies to remake so now they are remaking tv shows like 21 jump street and now they have to remake the most pointless, stupid, and most made fun of show in the history of tv.

It is not Emmy winning qulity of the show i agree but Bilions of people enjoy see Pam Anderson and other babes in their primes running on the beach. I think you takr that show to seriously. It is normal that we can espect in some point sequel, new season, or in this case remake, because that show is most selled show ever. Money my friend, money

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.

no, power rangers wasn't ever marginalized and ridiculed to the extreme that Baywatch was. I can't think of a more or as made fun of show in the history of tv.

no, power rangers wasn't ever marginalized and ridiculed to the extreme that Baywatch was. I can't think of a more or as made fun of show in the history of tv.

Since this film is categorised as a comedy, I assume that it will also be kind of ridiculing and making fun of the shítty TV show.

You're too close minded so you aren't thinking creatively. It's not like we're discussing a giant living cow head that can fly through space. BAYWATCH was just a melodrama about lifeguards.

Films like PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE and hell even MANOS could be remade into something worth checking out.

A lot of shows/films get remade, even when it's not "really" necessary but it still happens. Sometimes they work, other time they don't.

Since we talking about Baywatch, 21 Jump Street show got remade into a film (even when it wasn't necessary) but look how well received BOTH the film AND the sequel turned out. Now we got this. Probably unnecessary, but as long as this turns out REALLY GOOD like how 21 Jump Street was (since they said it's going to be in the vein of the movie). Hope it does, it looks like a solid cast.
