So, what do y'all think about this new Baywatch (2017) movie?

Let's hear how you feel.

How can anyone intelligently answer your question when the movie is not done and no one has seen it?

Probably gonna make money, but I doubt it'll be good. There's not much you can do with this idea and the director/writers involved inspire even less confidence. Alexandra Daddario getting naked again would be amazing, though.

I'm one of the few people who took Baywatch seriously (as seriously as it could be taken) back in the day. It was cheesy, it was silly, but it was fun to watch each week. I don't think it needed to be remade as (I think) a parody film, because it was silly enough the way it was filmed. That said, I still thought the series was great and I wouldn't have changed a thing. It didn't need to be well written like a Breaking Bad, and it didn't need to be an Emmy Award winner like The West Wing. It was just Baywatch. One hour of escape into a soap operatic style world where lifeguards are taking down drug dealers, meeting the Beach Boys, and so on.

The show's unrealistic premise was about L.A. county lifeguards who in real life would probably be making $9.00 an hour, but were somehow living the most action-packed and dramatic lives possible, wearing nice clothing and living in nice homes. The stories were outlandish, and the acting never won any awards, but it was fun because it was so absurd. And you can laugh at the Hoff all you want, but he was laughing his way to the bank in those days.

I don't plan on seeing the movie, since The Rock tweeted out that it would be very raunchy. That's not at all my cup of tea, but it will have its fans.
