Shocked Melissa McCarthy and/or Rebel Wilson isn't in this

Usually movies are forced to cast some hog just so she can be empowered or something. The trailer looks dumb but at least I respect how they're not forcing the audience to look at rolls of cellulite or muffin tops in this.

reply

Might have made it funnier with Rebel.

reply

Including Rebel Wilson in anything is never a good idea.

Whoever invented ignore lists is an unsung genius.

reply

They really should have been in this movie.

reply

I was thinking the same thing they actually casted gasp!!!acctractive people. You just know tho as it gets closer to release the femniests will come out in full force with their whiny sexist complaints

reply

you mean like every comic book movie ever made? Or the fast and furious movies? Or many, many, many other movies made today?
Typical lone basement dweller behavior on your part here.

Not all those genres you listed are set at beaches full of bikini clad women

Did you really already forgot what you have written yourself? You never mentioned "beach movie" as genre.

But okay, I´ll play.
So and which iconic beach based movies are currently invaded by the fatty Mc`Fat-brigade?

reply

Not saying there's tons of beach movies, just that unnaturally shoe-horning wildabeasts where they don't belong is fashionable at the moment

reply

Your comment now sounds like a cop out.
I gave you examples of movies were these kind of women would be out of place as much as they would be in a beach movie. Yet you somehow seem to not see this.

Granted that there are many movies featuring fat women, these are not more than there were movies featuring fat men in the 80s. John Candy, Belushi, Goodman ring a bell?
The typical rant seems to completely disregard this. It´s not that these women are pushed under your nose; they are just taking up the same roles many males previously did. No problem with that. And no, Hollywood is not trying to make them look sexy, they take their overweight and make it part of the joke. The same way they did for decades with men.

Are you really this insecure that you have to make up arguments where non are to find?

I despise the typical femnazi like everyone else, but let us please stop with the agenda driven Hollywood bs. Hollywood is only interested in money, as soon as people stop watching McCarthy movies, she will be done.

reply

why are fat women out of place in a comic book movie?

reply

nice, deflection. Is that all you got?

After this I´m done with you and your failed thread, cause obviously you have no idea how to argue a point, seeing that you switch around the questions.

A comic book, and therefore its characters, depict highly stylized entities.
Man are usually strong and tall, women slender and curvy (to an ridiculous extent). Therefore a fat woman does not fit the bill.

Rebel as CJ...how did they NOT do that? Tsk, tsk Hollywood.

When there's no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.
