What's next? R rated comedy of Quantum Leap?

Imagine Dr. Sam jumping into body of Porn Star from the 1970s.

Here it is... They're now making R movies popular again, due to all the PG13 backlash, and now we have these type of posts. /smh

well this is a by product of remaking every single thing they can remake. they are remaking so many movies that they now have run out of movies to remake so they are remaking tv shows into movies. this is beyond retarded and pointless. they are indiscriminately remaking tv shows into movies. there's no art, heart, or intelligence in Hollywood anymore. the worst thing is when they make a remake of a tv show into a movie and make it a completely different genre and completely change flavor and the essence of the original thing. case in point: 21 jump street. now that was not only disrespectful to the original series because it was lame and stupid but it was disrespectful to the original series because it was just a cash grab and because it was a completely different genre than the tv show so they only used the tv show to make money off of it.

here we have a remake of a tv show that no one liked or respected or thought was good and most people made fun of it because it was the lowest of the low, and the most pointless, guilty pleasure show that has ever been made. so why is it being made? is Hollywood really this out of ideas that they remake the worst things that have ever been made?

I'd watch the *beep* out of a Quantum Leap remake

I'm looking forward to a Knight Rider movie.

HAR! Brilliant.

Oh Boy, as Sam Beckett would say.

So it's ok to make a putrid PG13 Die Hard 4, a franchise that was R rated in the first place and make a PG13 sequel to it, but it's not ok to make an R rated Bay Watch with nudity?? How stupid is that??

Don't act like turning a pg13 franchise into an R is any worse than turning Die Hard into a PG13...

Considering all Sam did in every episode was hook up with random chicks in a slightly non-consenting creepy way, that's not a bad idea for a remake.

reply

Yeah I don't really remember Sam raping anyone over the course of that series.

You may want to bring up your whole rape/fantasy thing next time you see your therapist.

There are definitely more than a few unintentionally sleazy bits to Quantum Leap. Sam regularly bedded women through duplicity even when the mission didn't ask for it (even though he was married) and Al was a self confessed perv: didn't he intentionally materialise in a college girls' changing room at one point?! Heheheh. More innocent times, eh?

That's quite a leap

You'd feel cocky too if you were full of myself.

reply

Quantum Leap would be much easier to remake as a serious show.
