Random thoughts after watching it

I saw the season 1 and i am not quite impressed but somehow it was better than other piles and piles of junk produced by netflix and prime, those utterly garbage formula content.

Though this wasn't also perfect but quite watchable. Yes it was slow paced, script writing was boring but still i enoyed it. Here are my random thoughts!

1. The script was very superficial. That underground water chamber wasn't taken further. It could have been a very interesting section if she could find something astonishing there. Like all those silos might be connected with an underground tunnel as it was in hard drive.

2. Majority of these tv shows are wrapped under dirty politics. Can't we just delete politics and have a good entertaining movie?

3. There was absolutely no reason for making season sequels. Let some things end in one season and be it a memorable one. She went out, stop it. Let it be a mental discussion for people. Not everything needs to have a properly shown happy ending.

This site has really gone to shit. All the ads and silly human verifications, but anyway ...

Years ago I kind of randomly read the books, called the Silo Series ... Wool, Dust and ??? something ... I forget now. There was things I thought were absurd, but I really enjoyed it.

I had expectations when I watched the series and was excited to see it. Still a lot of things bugged me - like taking a whole episode to fix their "generator" ... that was just boring and irritating.

I thought when the season ended that would be it, but they've come out with a second season now. It is much much better than the first season, but still has an episode where they waste a whole hour on a foolish plot.

Still I like it and find that they are making this series something totally different and unique from the books - which is good.

I really dislike waiting an entire week to see the next episode, especially if that episode is a time waster because it wastes two weeks. If I had known that I would have waited until the season was done and then subscribed to AppleTV and binge-watched it.

This is one of a very few allegorical and subversive science fiction series and I really appreciate that. I think if you watch the second season you willl see what I mean.

I am watching for the sake of watching but i have lost interest in it.

I haven't read the books. I saw the trailer and felt intrigued and started watching.

What season?

If season 2 goes any slower it will be on rerun before it finishes

It is going slow and they are cluelessly dragging the story. I wonder how they will make season 3 and 4 if such is the pace and such pathetic is the script.

It feels like the usual streamer strategy, drag out the narrative unnecessarily so you can get more seasons out of it.

It's been too long since I read the books, but it feels like season 2 could have been largely condensed. A lot of dramatic filler and narrative elements with little advancement that became entire episodes.

I think part of the reason things like True Detective were so good is that they finish a coherent narrative in a single season. TD S1 could have easily been stretched into two seasons if they had bulked it out with bullshit.

I think Silo isn't a single season show, but it's also not really a 4 season show.

I am not sure what the books have and how much there is more in books than they have already shown in 2 seasons but they have plans for 4 seasons. See imdb and i also read here in some thread that on their website they have plans for 4 seasons.
