I have read many topics on this film and a lot of them say that this is a cliché film and that it is like Twilight. I am going to take you through some points about the film. 1)The love story between John (Four) and Sarah is a crucial point. If you could be bothered to read the books you would know that. You also have to understand that John has never had this kind of love before so the storyline having him finding that love is him experiencing something new. 2)Twilight? I think not. I have read on here someone said something about a typical love triangle. The love triangle here is two people that love each other and a jock who thinks he can get anyone he wants but because he can't have Sarah he wants her. Not really the same love triangle Twilight has does it? 3)The cliché about the new boy. Well yeah, he is the new boy, but he doesn't fall in love with the popular girl, yes she is pretty but not popular. Again if you read the books it says she was popular but opted out so she is kind of a misfit. She is never shown to have any other real friends but in the books she does and by what I know they weren't popular either. 4)I read on here that somebody put why did 4 save 6? I get that the movie doesn't really explain about this, but when one of the Loriens meets another one the special thing of they can only get killed in order breaks. It is no more. It is a free for all for all of them now. Anyone can die. That is why.

At what point are they referring to in the movie? Also though not related, the remaining Lorien are pretty much siblings and are the last of their people.

They are not all siblings. Seriously they are defiantly not siblings. Also in the books there is a romance between to of the Lorien characters and it would be weird if they were siblings or even considered as siblings. They come from different families and one of them are supposed to be the superior elder, Pittacus Lore. I said that they didn't really explain it in the movie, what I probably should of said is that they didn't explain it in the film. They should of though. The film missed out some crucial points to the story but alot of the main points were there. Have you read the books?
Yes I have read all 3. I didn't mean literally siblings. I meant more like the 10 of them is all that are left and they feel the obligation to protect each other.

As a person who has read all 3. Do you agree with any of my points? And I know that you meant they aren't all literally siblings. I was just saying if they were it would be wrong.

True. The love story is very different but it also isn't the major plot like it is in Twilight.

Very true. There isn't a love triangle between John-Sarah-jock. Now there is rectangle between Sarah-John-Six-Sam

Very true. Though it is the new guy in town intro which is because they have to keep traveling around, he doesn't fall for the popular girl.

The Charm. I don't think he saved her because of the curse be broken. I think it was because they're the last of their race and they will need all of the together to win.

OK, I admit about the charm comment it was a push and really just something to make the points even. But I wish that people would either buy the books and have a read of them because they are so good and I can't wait for the next one, or they wait for a next film, that is if they ever make a next film. I hope they do. I am glad that you agree with my points and hopefully you agree with me saying that people need to read the books.
I think most the people who came up with those complaints about the movie that we determined were flawed are people who were just looking to vent upon something in the movie that was really small. Statistically it is probably 90% of book-to-movie movies aren't as good as the books.

Jak, I agree with your points. I see the books/movie as so very different from Twilight, especially as the first book (this movie was based on) ends. There is no love triangle at all.
I've read most of the books that are out, reading Rise of Nine now which I think will be all of them I've read until the next book is out. The story of Nine from his landing on Earth to when Four/John frees him. I've also read others of the Lost Legacies, one from the Mog point of view, or one prominent son of Mog in particular. That book tells of the demise of the first three Lorien. I love this book series. I do hope more movies can be made but that's me; I have no idea how well known the books are and if the audience would be there. I hope so though. The books are good, good story and the Lorien are all very interesting. If a movie could capture some of that I'd have to think it would do well, and maybe allow for a franchise/sequels.
