Sequel is The Power of Six. The books are amazing. Could be another franchise hit if the sequel is done a little better than the first according to the book.

I also really like the books. I like this movie though it deviated from the book probably more than it should have. Lackluster box office but I'd like to see a sequel. I also wonder if it can do well as another franchise, but given how it started out that may be difficult. Perhaps if, as you say, the next movie is made and done well that may change things.
shareYes, we definitely need a sequel, even if they just bring it straight to DVD/Blu-Ray. I should probably read the books. I would love to see a sequel to John Carter as well, even though that movie bombed too.

Is that the name of a sequel they are making? If so, I would like to see it as I enjoyed the original though it had it's faults. Hopefully the sequel will be better.

I Am Number Four is based off the book of the same name as is The Power of Six. The faults were probably from the movie leaving out or changing stuff from the book. If you liked the movie that much then you would like the book 100x more.

Yes, I am desperate for a sequal, I loved the first film 'I am Number Four' and I'm 3 quarters of the way through the book, I've got 'The Rise of Six' and also 'The Power of Nine' to read.
I watched this for the third time last night with friends and most preferred it to Twilight....
I didn't even see it advertised that well when it was out at cinema, I don't think they marketed it well but it did fairly well at the box office....they still made about 100 million dollars after budget taken out and that doesn't even include dvd/blueray sales since!
This deserves 'The Power of Six' to be made and marketed alot better!!!
The film needs to be longer too
Everyone has a right to twinkle & shine like a star
I kno the books have a sequel but I think the movie shud definitely have a few as well. They need to make the movies according to the book, and market them more aggressively!
I think this series if made correctly cud be a really big box office hits! I really hope they make the sequels!

I havn't read the books, but the movie impressed me. I liked how they handled the relationships etc. but they shoulda altered the story a bit so that his handler could stay alive - Timothy Olyphant, also Teresa's character wasn't really badass.
I think the movie did well, but of-course could have been more intimate in it's detail of characters, but all the movie really needs is another chance to stand on it's own 2 feet after Twilight contrasts have died down a bit now finally.
I hate it that movie studios think that making a film is truly giving it a chance, like I think giving Superman Returns, Green Lantern etc. a chance to carry the story further etc with the criticism is really an honest shot. Unlike Ghost Rider etc. which are given a second shot and a terrible budget etc.
But this series reminds me of one of my favorite shows from the 90's - Roswell High, and I'd like to see them extend to the rest of the 9 with a dynamic group of young actors that go beyond what you would expect from a movie centered on teenagers.
Henri died in the book so they at least kept that part correct though during the battle at the school. The book wasn't as John-Sarah relationship centered as the movie. They were a lot more scenes with Henri and John training with grace under pressure, being bale to stop knives in mid air, and lifting objects. I also liked Superman Returns a lot as well.

The Power Of Six is being adapted, Alex Pettyfer mentioned it during an interview last year. they're looking for a 2014/2015 filming and release. they're trying to distance the sequel from the original much like what was done with the recent Percy Jackson sequel
shareDoes anybody know for a fact that there's gonna be a sequel?
shareHehe! Hope it will come in 2014/2015.

Half-Blood #18 and Son of Poseidon, Son of Adam, Gryffindor 7th year
The movie was decent, better than the similar "young man with powers" movies like Push or Jumper. I'd watch a sequel.
sharecan you tell me how to find that interview? what was it called?
shareSee if this search gets you anywhere:

I'd do it, but I'm getting offline to watch True Blood (2008).
