Jean Reno should have played Henri...

Or at least that is who I was picturing the whole time while reading the book, and it was perfect.

I am going to watch the movie this weekend, and I do really enjoy Timothy Olyphant, but I still think Jean Reno would have been perfect elder of Henri that is to train and guide the young padawan while he gets his powers. It's kind of like Alfred or Morgan Freeman giving Batman advice; it works better with a REAL elder that comes across as very wise, not just someone older. But like I said, I'll watch it this weekend to see how the sheriff does in the role.

(in case you don't know who Jean Reno is, he was in Leon: The Professional, Godzilla 1998, and Ronin, to name a few)

i like Timothy Olyphant but for some reason i always picture him as a bad guy hahaha, seriously i liked the idea of Reno or someone else playing the part but not because Timothy couldnt do it but because seen him in a movie with "teenagers" i kept relating him to his part in "The Girl Next Door"

I saw this with my teenage nephew and the only reason I enjoyed it was because of the "sheriff"/ I am not into teen movies so the presence of Timothy Olyphant was a nice surprise.

I was just so sorry he died.
