You will be waiting a long time since the movie flopped in the box office when it first came out. You are better off reading the book series...

NO, it did not MAKE $150 Million... the total receipts were $144 Million worldwide. That is NOT PROFIT.
ALL of their expenses are deducted from that.
production costs - don't forget the thousand of copies that are sent out
distribution costs
salaries - for everyone, not just the actors
the theaters' portions of the ticket sales
advertising -- apparently, the didn't spend any one this particular movie
etc.
It definitely wasn't a hit... it only lasted in a lot of theaters for ONE WEEK... it dropped significantly week by week.
