Was Kitano joking when he said he was making a sequel? I mean almost everybody died!
Including Kitano's character who was shanked to death in the prison yard at the end of the film. How do you make a sequel when 90% of the characters are dead?
Good movie by the way.
It'll probably be a completely separate story. Maybe it just carries the Outrage title because Kitano wants to make another film in the same style.
shareThey could easily make a new movie even with some of the remaining characters, similar to how Scorsese wanted to make a sequel to the Departed with Mark Wahlberg's character as the lead. They could have Ryo Kase anchor the sequel, who's plenty capable and was the breakout in the movie. Kitano can make it work.
shareIt would have been awesome to see a sequel with Shiina Kippei but sadly he died too. He was definately the greatest thing about the movie.
