Did the ending remind anyone a little of.....(spoilers)

...Carlito's Way.

The protagonist looks to escape with his life only to be killed by a minor thug who he should have killed earlier in film (and who he had forgot about it).

Its a little different in Outrage in that Ôtomo didn't escape the life but ended up in prison but it did look like he was going to outlast them all - which was a sort of winning/evenge (in the eyes of the crooked cop at least).

Yeah, I get what you're saying.

However, things are not what they seem in the ending as you find out in the second film.

In some ways it reminds me of "The Prophet" shot in France. You should see it if you like gangster movies about organized crime. It shows a Corsican mob in a French prison being played off against each other. The action takes place both in a real prison and on the streets of Paris. Many of the actors in prison scenes were actual criminals.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else
