apparently very simple for the ambassador to just up and move to a new location on a whim. what the hell was that even doing in the story?

yakuza films generally follow one of two story lines so i wasn't expecting anything groundbreaking, but this was a very mediocre film.

lol It was also hilariously tiny. Was it above a bar as well, surely it's not like that in real life.

In my city there are a number of resident counsels. These are foreigners who usually have some wealth or good jobs. They act as part time ambassadors but have no embassy. They help out citizens of their home country
and represent their country at official events and banquets for visiting dignataries. Mostly its the honor of the thing not the money.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

Can you name any better Yakuza films?

Maybe not a Yakuza film per se but there's another Takeshi Kitano film, Brother, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brother_(2000_film) where an exiled Yakuza sets up shop in LA and builds up his own gang among the misfits he finds there.

More of a 'Takeshi' film than this, as very deadpan with outbursts of bleak humour (bodies are aligned to form the Japanese character for 'death') and violence (our anti-hero has little patience for those who get in his way).

Why do people always think he is from Ghana? First, the flag doesn't match and then it clearly said "Gbana". I think they were very careful not to mention any actual country since this could be considered stepping on peoples toes. This way, one might think Ghana, others Mali or Guinea(the flag looked more like it).
