Was this the worst ending to a series ever? *spoilers*
To answer my own question, probably not. But man, what a poor ending. I've been watching the series as it comes out on Amazon Prime, so I didn't know for sure that the most recent season was the last one. Then imagine my surprise when the last episode of the season comes on and the Second Mass moves from its base of operations, skips over the trek to D.C., conveniently appears in the D.C. underbelly, and then has Tom Mason jump out right at the Lincoln Memorial. Oh, and the stand off with the queen? All of about five minutes? And then let's have Tom Mason walk from the Lincoln Memorial, carrying the weight of his dead wife, all the way to the coast (and no, that wasn't the Tidal Basin or the Potomac he walked to). It's as if the producers for the past several seasons of the show took an episode off, which just so happened to be the finale.
Oh, and don't forget about the gratuitous Pope reappearance. What in the world?
I'm sure others have written about what happened with the finale. I haven't read any other posts on here about it, but I'm sure I'll quickly find out what happened.
~After enjoying that movie, I figured I would drop by IMDB to read about its problems.
